Building to new heights

The Costa del Sol is renewed with energy and the real estate market is undoubtably booming. Despite the challenges in the past 18 months, Marbella and the surrounding areas on the sunshine coast are reaching new heights, with house prices increasing and a summer full of international tourism. Investment in the area is apparent; in addition to several new, quality hotels, restaurants and improved infrastructure across the Costa del Sol, the property market is booming, with transactions continuing, particularly in luxury property over 1 million euros in price. Recent investment shows a longer-term stability and proves that the area will always bounce back, bigger and better than before.

Atlas Group’s portfolio is reflective of the activity in the area. A local leader in construction, typically known for luxury homes, the company has been busy, creating apartment complexes to commercial builds such as restaurants and a hostel, adding to their vast portfolio of quality builds. Their expansion into other fields of construction is not only a result of adapting to the demands of the ever-moving Costa del Sol, but also due to recent staff acquisitions, including that of Miguel Ángel García Herrero, who is the Technical Director and responsible for Business Development.

Miguel Ángel has extensive experience in the development and management of infrastructure, including time with Grupo Avintia, as Technical Director. “My role at Atlas Group Marbella is to take charge of the company development, planning and technical assistance of projects, building work and infrastructure. We are seeing huge growth potential in the Costa del Sol market, both in the property market, and with commercial investment projects. I am excited to demonstrate Atlas Group’s experience, not only in the luxury property arena but also to highlight the knowledge, skill and expertise the team are known for, with a plethora of commercial builds in progress or starting within the next few months,” said Miguel Ángel.

In testament to the quality of work, and in signposting the Costa del Sol as a landmark in construction experience and quality, Atlas Group is currently building projects as far as Seville, El Puerto de Santa Maria, Sanlúcar de Barameda, Madrid and even France.

In addition to several luxury homes scattered across the Golf Valley of Marbella, the company is currently constructing an apartment complex in Fuengirola, commercial premises including a boutique hostel in the Old Town of Estepona and the renovation of the prestigious El Coto restaurant near to La Zagaleta in Benahavis. Additionally, a spectacular apartment community is about to start in Estepona, in partnership with a Dutch investor.
